Review and confirm a store's fuel prices

How-to guide Who can do this: Merchant Owner, Merchant Admin

Start a store's price list from the official fuel prices: choose the store's price zone, check the prices for the fuel items you sell there, adjust any, and confirm them.

Before you start#

  • Who: Merchant Owner or Merchant Admin, for the merchant's own stores.
  • The store must be active. The review is not offered for an inactive store.
  • You need fuel SKUs linked to their government fuel items. The review lists only the official prices for fuel items your catalog sells. See SKUs and services.
  • Where: while the store's price list is not yet confirmed, any of these opens Review & Confirm Fuel Prices for the store:
    • Review & Confirm Prices → in the message shown after you create a store;
    • Review now -> next to "Price list needs confirmation" at the top of the store's detail page;
    • Review & Confirm Prices or Configure now -> on the store's Price list card;
    • the No price list badge next to the store on the Stores list. Once the price list is confirmed these links are no longer shown; change prices from Price Lists instead.

Steps#

  1. Under Price zone, choose Zone 1 or Zone 2 first: the table appears only once a zone is chosen, and switching zone reloads the page, so edits made before switching are lost. When the store already has a zone it is chosen for you, with "Confirmed for this store" or "Set automatically from the store's address (…)". With no zone, nothing is chosen and the page asks "Choose this store's price zone. Zone 2 prices are up to 2% higher." What the zones mean is on Fuel price zones.
  2. Check the table. Each row is a fuel item you sell, with its SKU, Unit Price, UOM and Source. Rows are ticked by default; untick any fuel this store does not sell. The tick box in the table header ticks or unticks every row.
  3. Adjust any Unit Price you want to charge differently, in plain digits with no thousands separator (enter 24390, not 24.390). A row the store already prices shows a Confirmed badge and the store's current price instead of the official one.
  4. Click Confirm Selected Prices. Back to Store leaves without saving.

What happens next#

  • The page shows "Fuel prices confirmed successfully." and returns to the store's detail page.
  • Each ticked fuel item gets a price row starting now, on the SKU you already have for it, whatever its code. A SKU is created only when you have none for that item.
  • Each new price row's Description reads the zone and the price's source, for example "Zone 2 · …".
  • The store's price list counts as confirmed, and the zone you chose is saved as confirmed for the store. Automatic zone updates never change it afterwards.
  • The confirmation, the number of prices created and the zone change are recorded in the store's audit log.
  • With confirmed prices the store can be offered to fleets, subject to the other conditions on Which stores tenants and drivers can see.

Rules and limits#

RuleDetail
One store at a timeTo price many stores at once, use Add prices for many stores at once
Already priced, unchangedA ticked row whose price you leave as it is, for a fuel the store already prices, is skipped; no new row is made
Zone changeChoosing a zone other than the stored one shows "This store is recorded as Zone 1. Confirming will change it to Zone 2."; confirming saves the new zone
Prices above zeroEach price you enter must be a number above 0. Every row's price is checked, ticked or not
Empty priceA ticked row with its price cleared takes the official price; for a fuel the store already prices it is skipped
Later changesTo change a price after confirming, use Edit prices on the store's Price list card; see Find, edit and retire price list entries
