See where your vehicles are on the fleet map

How-to guide Who can do this: Tenant Owner, Tenant Admin, Tenant Supervisor

The Fleet Map shows the last position the platform received for each of your vehicles, with its driver and maintenance status.

Before you start#

  • You need to be a Tenant Owner, Tenant Admin or Tenant Supervisor.
  • Your company's plan must include live GPS.
  • Your vehicles need a connected GPS provider that sends route points; see GPS providers.

Steps#

  1. Open Fleet Map under Fleet in the menu. You see one pin per vehicle with GPS data, at its latest known position.
  2. Read the pin colours: red Overdue, amber Due soon, green OK, grey No schedule, for the vehicle's maintenance and document status.
  3. Click a pin to see the vehicle's plate, Driver, Last seen (when that position was recorded) and, when maintenance items are due or vehicle documents are expired or expire within 30 days, a Maintenance line with its compliance badge.
  4. Click View Playback to replay that vehicle's route for today; see Review a vehicle's route and telemetry for a day. Playback also needs the GPS replay feature on your plan, and works only for active vehicles.

What happens next#

Nothing changes; the map only shows stored positions. To see newer positions, reload the page: positions are fetched from the providers every five minutes, and the map does not refresh by itself.

Rules and limits#

  • The map shows positions only from providers that send route points; a vehicle that only ever had a distance-only provider does not appear. See GPS providers.
  • A pin is the vehicle's latest stored point, however old, including for vehicles that are no longer synced (switched off, or moved to a distance-only provider); check Last seen before relying on it.
  • You see only your own company's vehicles.
  • Driver shows the vehicle's current drivers, or "No driver assigned".
