Set a driver's weekly working shifts
Give a driver a working shift for each day of the week, or mark the day Off, and save the whole week in one go.
Before you start#
- You need to be a Tenant Owner, Tenant Admin or Tenant Supervisor.
- Your company needs at least one working shift, a named time block such as "Morning 08:00–12:00". Tenant Owners and Tenant Admins create them under Working Shifts in the menu; Tenant Supervisors can use them but not create them.
- The driver must be active.
Steps#
- Open Drivers and open the driver.
- Find the Working schedule card. It lists Monday to Sunday with each day's shift name and time, or Off, and marks Today.
- Click Edit schedule.
- For each day, choose a shift, or Off for a day off. Only your company's active working shifts are offered. If a day already has a shift that has since been switched off, it stays on that day, marked (inactive); you can keep it or change it.
- Click Save, or Cancel to leave the week as it was.
What happens next#
- The page shows "Working-shift schedule updated successfully." and returns to the Working schedule card with the new week.
- All seven days are saved together; the week replaces the driver's previous week.
- The change is recorded in the audit log.
Rules and limits#
- A driver has one shift per day; a day cannot hold two shifts.
- A driver who has never had a schedule shows every day as Off; the first save creates the schedule.
- A day left on Off is a day off.
- An inactive driver's schedule can be seen but not edited.
- Roles that can open drivers but not schedules, such as Tenant Accountant, do not see the card.
If something goes wrong#
| What you see | Cause | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| "No working shifts defined for this tenant yet — create one first." after Edit schedule | Your company has no active working shifts | A Tenant Owner or Tenant Admin creates one with Create a working shift or under Working Shifts |
| "Could not save the working-shift schedule. Please review your selections." | A chosen shift is no longer available (switched off or deleted) | Reopen Edit schedule and choose again |
| No Edit schedule button, or no card | The driver is inactive, or your role cannot edit or view schedules | Reactivate the driver, or ask a Tenant Owner, Tenant Admin or Tenant Supervisor |
