Official fuel price chart

Reference

Official Fuel Prices shows how the government-set retail price of each fuel moved over time in one price zone, and lists every price adjustment. It is read-only and open to every tenant and merchant user.

Overview#

The page is under Reports in the sidebar. Every tenant and merchant user can open it; no permission or plan is needed. Platform operators can open it too. The prices are the same official prices the platform uses everywhere else; where they come from and which source wins is on Government fuel prices. A small version of the chart, for four main fuels in Zone 1 over 90 days, is on the dashboard and links back to this page; see Mini charts on the dashboard.

What the page shows#

  • Chart. One stepped line per selected fuel item: a price holds until the next adjustment. Each day's value is the price in force at the end of that day, in Vietnam time, so an adjustment at 15:00 shows on its own day.
  • Markers. A dot marks each price change; a diamond marks a price derived from store price lists.
  • Gaps. Before a fuel's first recorded price there is no line, never a guessed value, and a note "No official price recorded for this period" gives the dates.
  • Price adjustments. A table of official retail price changes in the selected date range, newest first: date, fuel item, old price, new price and change. A price that was set before the range shows on the first day, and the first adjustment's old price equals it. The first price ever recorded for a fuel has no old price and no change, shown as "—". With no adjustments in the range the table says "No price changes in the selected date range." When two sources record the same price one after the other, the line keeps the point but the table does not list it as an adjustment.
  • Last confirmed. "Prices last confirmed" with the date the official feed last confirmed the prices, or a note that it has not confirmed them yet.
  • Source. Platform operators also see where each price came from, in the table and the export; tenant and merchant users do not.

Controls#

ControlDefaultRules
Price zoneZone 1Zone 1 or Zone 2; an unknown zone falls back to Zone 1
Fuel itemsEvery active fuel with a published official priceChoose one or more; if none of your choices is valid, the default set is shown. Fuels with no government-set retail price sit in a collapsed group, "No official retail price published", and are never drawn; selecting one adds the note "No official retail price is published for this fuel"
Period (no label)The last 12 months, to todayAny period or custom range, so history back to 2021 is reachable. A range ending after today stops at today, and a range that has not started yet shows a note instead of a chart. The chart draws at most the last 3,660 days of a longer range and says so; the adjustments table and export still cover the whole range

The period picker is the same as on the other reports; see Operational reports.

Export to Excel#

The export holds the price adjustments shown in the table, newest first, with prices as numbers. Its columns are Date, Fuel item, Code, Old price, New price and Change. Like every export it is capped at 5,000 rows, with a notice when the cap applies; see Export to Excel on list pages.
